SHITAIDUO

It is located as a theme restaurant of new Thai cuisine. The concept originated from the "tropical rainforest" and was put into the space with elephant, banana leaf and purple elements symbolizing Thai culture. The entrance of the restaurant is made of wooden walls, and geometric blocks are used to spell out the shape of auspicious animal elephant in Thailand to meet the guests.

The abstract screen of banana leaf pattern element is taken as the visual center of the restaurant, focusing on the effect of reflection and penetration at the same time. The reflection around the bright wall is the reflection exuded by the way of washing the wall with the pattern of banana leaf. When it is opposite to the pattern of banana leaf penetrating the light through the black glass on the other side, and the pattern of banana leaf itself, the dining atmosphere inside and outside the bright and dark banana forest is created.

Then go to the dining room. It‘s a semi open box area. It‘s a metal rattan like lamp. The wall has a white cork with temperature and the original rusted paint. I feel like I‘m eating in a traditional wooden house in Thailand.
